Ignition Speed Festival sponsored karting ace, Rocket #58 (Mikayla Doucette) goes to the front and takes the win at Poughkeepsie in the season opener.  Taking the win in the champ kart division in only her first race at the up state New York track, Mikayla ran away with the win in the flathead class.  After the crazy year that was COVID 2020, which saw Mikayla running pavement for the first time as Lebanon Valley (dirt) was closed all season.  After a good year and many strong finishes on the pavement, Mikayla and her team (mom and dad) took a look at the champ kart classification at Poughkeepsie and did they bring the heat for the opener.  Mikayla looks comfortable in the kart and she is ready to battle for the championship.  She will also be running in the flat kart, on both dirt and pavement this season.  Stay tuned for more updates on the Rocket’s season!!!!  LET’s GOOOOO #58
