ISF 6-Hours of Sebring

To benefit Special Olympics of CT

Ignition Speed Festival 6-Hour of Sebring to benefit Special Olympics CT

Fueled by ACI Dynamix – July 17, 2021

Over the last 3-years, ISF, MONZA World Class Karting, Foxwoods Resort Casino, AmeriGas Propane, ACI Dynamix and many other participating partners have brought endurance kart racing and inclusion together to form a special event known as KartRace. With teams from all over the northeast, KartRace has become a must attend event. The drivers and the athletes work in tandem to create an all-inclusive environment, where the success of the team is based on a collaborative effort.

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 edition of KartRace as cancelled and the organizers are hopeful the 2021 edition can be held on October 23, 2021 at the beautiful MONZA World Class Karting facility located on the property of the Foxwoods Resort Casino. As an all-inclusive event, the athletes of Special Olympics join the kart drivers to make memories that last a lifetime. With the current restrictions, being creative and using technology to create a one-of-a-kind event, a new event using the same concept as KartRace is coming through your computer and being broadcast on Twitch and YouTube.

Virtual engines will come to life at the Ignition Speed Festival 6-Hours of Sebring to benefit Special Olympics CT fueled by ACI Dynamix will come on Saturday, July 17, 2021 beginning at 1pm. Using the world’s premier racing simulation, iRacing and working with virtual broadcasting leader Podium eSports to stream the event live on Twitch. Podium eSports will bring iRacing and video conferencing technology together to create an all-inclusive virtual racing event like no other. The drivers and teams will each be represented by an athlete from Special Olympics and the combined efforts of athlete and team will work to bring their team to victory.

With the athletes completing “pit stop challenges” throughout the race, the teams will drive 6-hours on the fast and challenging Sebring International Circuit using the GT3 cars of iRacing. The action on the track and during the pitstops will be exciting. With support from Liquimoly, the athletes will have limited edition team shirts while they work to complete their challenges.

This is going to be a fast and exciting event, pre-register your team here on the Ignition Speed Festival website.
